Good Morning! It's been a while since I blogged; just been busy quilting and babsitting. Got to love those grandkids! I have three orders I'm working on -- a Memory Quilt, a bible tote, and a Market Bag. I'll post photos when they're completed.
I have been updating a Facebook page. Hope this link works.... https://www.facebook.com/groups/628790900519949/

Still working at the Senior Center
Hello! We're still working on projects for the Gift Shop at our Senior Center here in Nedeland Texas. I finished a quilted placemat & table runner order; will have to wait until camera is working to take photos. The other Seniors are always coming in to see what we're doing. I tell them, you never know, lol. A couple of ladies are doing the old fashioned loom potholders; some of us are making crocheted magic potholders and some are still making crocheted ear warmers. Here are some photos:

Crocheted Ear Warmers
I've been too busy to post; the ladies at our Senior Center are now making crocheted ear warmers. We also make flowers to decorate them with. Or you can add your own pin. They can be custom ordered with your choice of colors and fit most heads, but can be made smaller or larger at your request. Wonder what we'll be doing next.......

This is a new year!
Happy New Year! Seems like 2013 just flew by. I'm hoping for only good things for 2014.
Our Senior Gift Shop is doing pretty good. We don't have too many "strangers" walking in, but hopefully our new ad in our local newspaper will bring in people.
Some of the ladies, including myself, are now making crocheted dishcloths and crocheted dishcloth scrubbies. I've listed some in my etsy shop. I'm also working on some quilted hot mats to add to the kitchen table. Also, we will be adding some quilted placemats. If you live in the Golden Triangle, come visit us. I can also mail any item, for exact shipping costs.

Friday the 13th
Our Gift Shop has been open all week; not many customers, but a steady stream. The Shop is open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm; I was able to cut out several denim totes and squares for 3 memory quilts while waiting. We added more items, so I took more photos. Sorry, our pretty decorated lighted wine bottles came out blurry; I'll try again next week. Some of the items are: sweatshirt jackets, fleece & yarn scarves, Avon gift baskets, Tupperware, Christmas tablerunners and hot mats, various raggy items. For every purchase, I give a free raggy bookmark.

Yesterday I took a few photos of our gift shop at the Senior Center. We've added some more items, so I'll take more picture tomorrow. Here are a few items we have: crocheted and fleece scarves, sweatshirt jackets, decorated, lighted wine bottles, Avon gift baskets, raggy quilts, fabric boxes, raggy burp cloths, cat toys, Christmas table runners, crazy quilt coasters and much more. We have reasonable prices and can ship for exact fees.

Newest Endeavor!
I'm not sure what I got myself into, but I'm starting a new endeavor. Our Senior Center has expanded its Gift Shop and needed someone to man it. So, I volunteered -- what was I thinking? lol. It will be open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Since I'm already at the Center on Wednesday & Thursday, I just added three days to my schedule. The good thing is I can sew in the Quilt Room; when customers show up, I just walk across the hallway. And the better thing is we've already had customers! When I can find the camera cord, I'll post some photos I took this morning. I'll post an update from time to time. Seriously, this will be fun!
