Hello; I'm back!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted in my blog. I've been busy making Memory Quilts -- 27 to be exact.  I finally have a break; have three more orders, but haven't rec'd the clothes yet.  If you want to order a memory quilt (using either clothes from a loved one or your own clothes), just contact me.  These are what I consider generous lap sized.  Here are the latest quilts I delivered today:

Other than quilting, I've been busy with family.  I'm so lucky to have kids and grandkids.

Too early in the morning!

What am I doing awake at 3:51 am?  I've checked my e-mail; going to blog; then, going to try to go back to sleep.  I've been busy working on travel bags.  I made several for our Senior Center and made some for myself to sell.  There is going to be an Art in the Park in our town of Nederland today.  Our Senior Center will have a booth with our handmade items.  We also have a beautiful Crazy Quilt Wallhanger for donations.  It was a team effort.  After I've set up my booth, I'll take some photos.  I emptied my craft booth; didn't know I had so much stuff in that booth, lol.

Good Friday

Where has the time gone?  Seems like just yesterday it was Ash Wednesday!  We're going to have pancakes for dinner tonight.  What are you having?
I just posted a few new items in my selling blog, RaggyAnne, and noticed I have just a few followers.  Won't you be my follower?
I'm working on another raggy quilt for our Senior Center.  I'm happy to report that three out of the five I made for them has sold.  We're also working on cosmetic bags to sell for the Center also.
Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend.

Crown Royal Raggy Quilt

Good Morning!  Wonder what the weather will be today?  For the last few days, it's been a little chilly; DH & I even wore our windbreakers.  I believe it's usually warmer this time of year in Texas.
My latest project has been a Crown Royal Raggy Quilt.  It was a custom order; my customer gave me the Crown Royal bags -- they weren't fun to cut up, lol.  Of course, it was done in the raggy style.  But I'm proud of the way it came out.  This is truly a OOAK (one of a kind).  So now, I've made several Memory Quilts and one Crown Royal Quilt; I hope to make a T-Shirt Quilt soon.  Let me know what type of custom quilt you would like me to make for you......

A Beautiful Sunday!

It's another beautiful day here in Southeast Texas.  Today is the last day of our Festival; I'm sure the newspaper will report record breaking crowds.  Yesterday I had a chance to walk thru the vendor booths -- such nice items!
I'm been sewing again.  This time, I made cosmestic bags, which can also be used as "anything" bags.  I've just listed two on etsy; will continue making them and listing them for sale.
Pictured is the 1st one I completed.  Not too shabby for the 1st time I've done a zipper in about 20 years, lol.  E-mail me when you would like your own.  I can do whatever color choice you have.

Pretty day here in Texas!

Today is the beginning of our annual Heritage Festival and it was a beautiful day.  The rest of the week is going to be pretty; I'm so glad; we've had too many rainy days in the last few years.
I'm finally posting a photo of the D9P raggy quilt I made for our Senior Center.  I enjoyed making it.......

Good Morning!

Where does the time go?  I'm still busy sewing; trying some new small projects.  Though I am still doing raggy quilts for the Senior Center.  I finished a D9P last week; am working on a simple square one this week.  I also finished some cat play mats; they're so cute!
Our DGD, Maddie, was at our house for about 3 weeks while her mother was recuperating from surgery.  We loved having her; thank goodness her dad took over when he returned from work.  I believe God gave us kids when we are younger for a reason, lol.  Oh, while I was making cat toys for a Relay for Life team, she came to check them out.  So, of course, I had to make one for her cat.
